The legendary Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas residency continues in the “MODERN SHOWROOMS” at Alexis Park Las Vegas Hotel.

The legendary Neil Diamond is one of the most successful and beloved singer/songwriters in pop/rock music history.

In addition to being one of the best-selling and concert drawing artists ever, he’s also created and performed the music that defined generations — including some of the most famous songs on the planet.

In the beginning of 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond stepped away from live performances after being affected by Parkinson’s.

However, Diamond’s concert legacy continues to be kept alive for audiences worldwide through tribute artist Rob Garrett, often called “the best of the best”.

Like his musical hero, Rob Garrett was a Brooklyn, New York native.

In the spring of 1974, his parents brought him from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, in 1976, he witnessed his first Neil Diamond concert when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Hotel’s “Theater for the Performing Arts” in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him another 16 times across the country—right up until Diamond’s final U.S. concert at the LA Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett created his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a long and successful run in Las Vegas and across the nation before deciding to move from cover band frontman to a tribute artist dedicated to one of his boyhood inspirations.

In 1995, Garrett was personally hired by Paul Revere (of The Raiders) to portray Neil Diamond in the “Legends in Concert” show in Honolulu, Hawaii.

What was meant to be a short engagement turned into a three-year residency.

By August 1998, Garrett was back in Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to create his own tribute production.

He began a more info nationwide performance schedule, building a devoted fan base along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Las Vegas.”

He continues to perform to sold-out venues nationwide, often in venues fit for superstars.

Garrett has also earned several honors, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19, Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating his 50 years living in Las Vegas and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years as an active Las Vegas entertainer, with the last three decades devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has performed his show at more Las Vegas venues than any other tribute artist.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only continuous Neil Diamond tribute in the U.S..
